Preparing your pet for transport is the best way to create a safe and stress-free journey.

Before The transport Day:

Visit the Veterinarian for a health and vaccinations check-up, and get a health certificate if required.
Microchip your Pet. If your pet doesn’t have a microchip, consider getting one. It provides a permanent form of identification. Be sure to input your accurate information on the microchip’s registry.
Additionally, double-check that your pet’s collar has an ID tag with current contact information.
Familiarize your pet with the travel crate or carrier well in advance. Leave it open in the house, allowing your pet to explore and get comfortable. Toss treats in the crate for your pet to find and create positive associations. Place familiar items in the carrier, such as your pet’s favorite blanket or toys, to provide a sense of security.
If your pet is not used to being in a crate, gradually increase the time they spend inside, making it a positive experience with treats and praise.
Confirm that your pet and crate are travel-ready by checking with the specific transport service and airline for any additional guidelines or recommendations.

On Transport Day:

Provide your pet with plenty of exercise before the journey to help them relax during transport.
Plan your pet’s feeding schedule around the transport time, avoiding heavy meals right before travel.
Make sure the crate is secure and well-ventilated.
If your pet is prone to anxiety, consider using calming products recommended by your veterinarian, such as sprays or pheromone collars.
Keep all necessary documents, including health certificates and import permits, organized and easily accessible.
Each pet is unique, so tailor your preparations to your pet’s individual needs and characteristics.
